Aug 5th and 6th, 2006As part of Flamenco in the Sun 2006 Festival, Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts will be presenting Calle Flamenca, on August 5th and 6th at 8:00 pm and 3:00 pm respectively. Calle Flamenca (Flamenco Street) marks the return of Vicente Redondo ‘El Pecas’ and Sudhi Rajagopal in collaboration with Bailes Ferrer Flamenco Dance Company. The program, with original compositions by Jose Luis Rodriguez and Robert Boyd, will feature new choreography by Pastora Galván, Omayra Amaya and Damaris Ferrer, as well as, choreography from the company’s repertoire by Belen Maya. The evening is composed of traditional ‘palos’ (song forms) with contemporary interpretations by Bailes Ferrer and invited guest artists. For more information, please visit: www.flamencointhesun.com
