June 26th, 2006Miami Beach Arts Trust and Miami Contemporary Dance Company present Behind the Dance, a workshop and panel discussion in conjunction with the Florida Dance Festival. The panel will discuss the many aspects of creating a professional dance performance: artistic vision and direction, choreography, costumes and sets, venues, public relations and marketing, technical requirements, securing funding, make-up, lighting and the synergy of the parts that make up a complete performance. The panelists will include Travis Neff, Helena Thevenot, Octavio Campos, Elaine Wright, Yvonne Labrada , Ray Sullivan. This event is a presentation of the Miami Beach Arts Trust Evening Bag series of educational and professional development workshops for the arts community and the public. The event is free and will take at 6:00 p.m. on June 26th, 2006 at the Miami Contemporary Dance Company venue located on 1919 Purdy Avenue, Miami Beach.
