Consumption Junction May 12th, 2007Since its creation in 1993, Cinema Vortex stood out by screening classics of American and European cinema, but soon began including documentaries, moving image artworks and archival film and video in their programs. They are responsible for the Public Domain Playhouse series running at the Wolfsonian Museum every month. Independent films, world cinema, media artworks and works of historic interest are mainstays of Cinema Vortex’s free programming. Highlight Programming: May 12th, 2007. 7:00 p.m. Public Domain Playhouse series at the Wolfsonian Museum in Miami Beach. Featuring Consumption Junction, Vortex’s first compilation film examining the America’s number one obsession – consumerism – through eyes alien to our culture.
