Dance Now! Miami presents Nine Local Dance Companies and Choreographers

April 27 and 28, 2012. 8:00 p.m.

Dance NOW! Miami joins forces with the Florida Dance Association in celebration of National Dance Week with the revival of the Miami Dance Sampler. This community-building event was founded and run for many years by South Florida dance pioneer and New World School of the Arts Dance Department Dean, Daniel Lewis. Featuring the abundance of high quality dance in South Florida, and re-named for its founder, this weekend of performances features the top local companies sharing the stage for a stellar lineup.

When asked his thoughts about the return of his brainchild Mr. Lewis stated: “I am so pleased to know that the Miami Dance Sampler will begin again. It is a great tool for developing audiences and to stimulate the growth of dance in South Florida”.

Participating companies and choreographers include: Karen Peterson and Dancers, Brazz Dance Theatre, Arts Ballet Theatre, Dance NOW! Miami, Brigid Baker WholeProject, Afua Hall, Luis Alberto Cuevas, Pioneer Winter, Lara Murphy and special guest Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company from New York City.

Tickets are $20 General $10 student and senior.
