From June 13th through June 16th, 2006The first edition of Design Miami Basel coincides with Art Basel 2006 and will take place in Basel, Switzerland. This exclusive invitational design event is the European sister to the successful Design Miami (formerly design.05 Miami) launched this past December in Miami. Design Miami Basel is an independent enterprise organized in cooperation with and endorsed by Art Basel. In an exciting new forum for the exhibition, collection, creation and discussion of design, Design Miami Basel presents 17 of the most important galleries in the world exhibiting museum-quality design today. Endeavoring to do for design what Art Basel has done for art, Design Miami Basel brings together the best collectors, connoisseurs, artists and designers in one of the premier destinations for art and design. Design Miami Basel Design Miami will continue to run concurrently with Art Basel Miami Beach in the Miami Design District in December 2006.
