Through June, 2006Dorsch Gallery opens Apparent Implication by Ralph Provisero and The Process of Weeding Out by Kyle Trowbridge. Ralph provisero is an active Miami sculptor with a passion for architecture and engineering. While committed to large-scale sculpture, Ralph also pursues drawing, architectural design, painting, and photography. Into graffiti as a teen, Ralph excelled in design and illustration at Parsons School of Art and Design in New York out of high school. He went on to double-major in art and music at New World School of the Arts in Miami and then attended a four-year program at the Kansas City Art Institute, where he earned a BFA in Sculpture in 1995. Two years later, Ralph entered graduate studies at the University of Miami, winning best-of-show in his class exhibition. Kyle Trowbridge is a native Floridian. He received a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Miami and it is currently employed by the University of Miami as a Senior Lecturer where he teaches two-dimensional design, video and experimental drawing. His current work deals heavily with the shifting dualities between victims and victimizers and has been exhibited at several local venue including the Museum of Art, Ft. Lauderdale, Palm Beach Institute of Contemporary Art and can be found in such permanent collections as the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami and Lowe Art Museum.
