Double Take exhibition includes recent work by emerging talent who represent a wide range of backgrounds and artistic strategies inspired by living in one of the most diverse and alluring art cities in the world.
The exhibition range from examinations of do-it-yourself directness, collaborative art making, ephemeral forms of practice and highly personal units of information. Performance, installations, video, painting, ceramics and techniques like collage and assemblage are combined with the use of unusual materials. Most artists on view in Double Take emphasize the notion of Art as Life.
Showing in Double Take are Joanna Carter, Ivania Guerrero, Peter Hammar, Pepe Mar, Emmy Mathis, Joey Meyer, Ekaterina Narciso, Josh Neel, Edward Rossel de Jong, Alex Trimino, Gabrielle Wood. This exhibition is organized by FIU Arts & Art History Department with the support of Miami Design District and Dacra Development.
Opening hours: Thursdays – Sundays 5-7pm.
