First Anniversary From Dec 2nd through January 31st, 2007European Art Gallery is celebrating its First Anniversary this December with an opening night to take place in conjunction with the festivities in the Miami Design District. The event will showcase some of the attractions the gallery is already known for, and will serve to introduce three international artists to the Miami Arts Scene. Being the three of them painters, the gallery continues to consolidate its tradition of mixing highly crafted design pieces together with paintings that compliment an interesting environment. The Russian Fatima Azimova shows her surrealist canvases that concentrate on beauty and color. Ruth Ascona Lazarraga, the young and talented Spanish artist proposes a floral universe with equal emphasis in the whole spectrum. Minashki De, the third new artist, is an Indian painter who brings the mystic element to the show. In addition to the new “acquisitions” the gallery features new works by two of its resident artists: the Germans Elmar Hund and Manuel Wassmer. Hund will be exhibiting his brand new shipped 2007 collection of new work that mixes resins, gold leaf, acrylic and oil on canvas, while Wassmer’s new light sculptures will illuminate the gallery. On the same night Pianist and Composer Roberto Lozano and his singers will animate the opening. Gallery owner and host Hans-Juergen R. Klemm invites the audience to taste a fine and rare rose-wine original of his country, a delicious blend conceived in the region of Baden – Baden in the Black Forest, Germany.
