February, 2007Join one museum and you will join fifteen other museums in the Miami-Dade County area as part of the newly developed Museum Reciprocity Month, to be launched in February, 2007. The goal of Museum Reciprocity Month is simple: join one museum, and you will have the ability to enjoy them all, during the month of February. Membership at any of the participating museums listed below grants the member a free pass for any of the other museums. Whether a person has been a longtime museum supporter or has just signed up, the program enables everyone to museum-hop and experience the Miami cultural scene. The month will be marked by a wide range of members-only programs at each institution, including exhibition openings, cocktail hours, family days, and educational lectures. Participating institutions include: Art Center/South Florida; Bass Museum of Art; The Patricia and Phillip Frost Art Museum/Florida International University; Haitian Heritage Museum; The Historical Museum of South Florida; The Jewish Museum of Florida; Lowe Art Museum/University of Miami; Miami Art Museum, Miami Children’s Museum; Miami Museum of Science and Planetarium; Museum of Contemporary Art; Vizcaya Museum and Gardens; and The Wolfsonian-FIU.
