From Jun 20th through Jun 30th, 2007Celebrating its 29th Season this year, the Florida Dance Festival is bringing to Miami a community of choreographers, teachers, students and performers for intense study, training, exchange of ideas, and fun. In a safe, supportive and nurturing environment provided by the festival, participants are encouraged to explore different styles and movement expressions, and experiment creatively with some of the field’s outstanding contemporary master teachers and artists. The noncompetitive atmosphere provides fertile ground for personal and artistic exploration and growth. The festival’s format challenges participants in repertory and performance workshops to learn a piece of choreography of a faculty member or guest performing artist and then perform in the Festival Finale program. This process heightens participant’s learning and cognitive skills and showcases their exceptional talent before fellow participants and the Miami audience. The Festival also offers other performing opportunities for participants and performing groups through the Florida Dances Program. Participants are invited to bring along family and friends for a “tropicool” South Florida vacation. Events Calendar: June 20th – June 30th, 2007. 8:00 p.m. Miami & Kaohsung / Dancing Together 2007.
