Something Sinful by Ilona Zaremba October, 2006Go Go Gallery announce its opening in Miami’s Wynwood Art District. The gallery’s premier exhibition features art of Ilona Zaremba, entitled Something Sinful. Originally from Poland and now living and working in Toronto, Ms. Zaremba creates large-scale mixed media oil paintings based on imagery culled from the covers of early pulp novellas. Her women exude sex and power, against the vibrant background of sultry reds, purples, and darker, more menacing tones, the authoritarian positioning of the women paired with the suggestive title of the art makes for a rich sense of melodrama. Dripping paint and resin add a further embellishment to create the sleaze of the 1950’s underground era. For more information, please call: 1.800.386.2785
