Carnival Center for the Performing Arts April 12th, 2007Carnival Center for the Performing Arts’ The Living Room Series concludes its 2006-2007 Piano Edition titled Jazz In Any Language with a performance by three-time Latin Grammy Award nominee Adrián Iaies in the Studio Theater on Thursday, April 12th, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. For The Living Room Series the Center’s Studio Theater is transformed into a cozy jazz club for one-night-only performances by nationally recognized artists as well as hometown favorites. Adrian Iaies, recipient of the ClarÃn Award for Best Jazz Musician of 2002, performs contemporary jazz laced with tango and creates shimmering piano melodies. Carnival Center’s Education and Outreach program will host a free pre-performance interview with Adrián Iaies, moderated by jazz expert Fernando Gonzalez at 6:30 p.m. in the Studio Theater.
