First Presbyterian Church in Pompano Beach April 29th, 2007As part of the Spire Series offered by the First Presbyterian Church of Pompano Beach, there will be a memorial concert dedicated to Jeffri W. Bantz on April 29th, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. The concert will feature a massed choir comprised of former students, colleagues, professional singers and choristers with whom Mr. Bantz worked during his lifetime as well as international guest soloists Marvis Martin and Dean Peterson Dr. Jo-Michael Scheibe, Conductor Mark Jones and the Organist Full Orchestra. Jeffri Bantz, one of South Florida’s most visible and respected musicians, requested that this concert be presented in lieu of a funeral or memorial service. The great choral music to be performed was chosen by Mr. Bantz and includes the Requiem by Fauré, selected movements from the Requiems of Duruflé, Rutter and Brahms, anthems by Mendelssohn, Vierne, Jones and Clausen and solos by guests Marvis Martin and Dean Peterson.
