Amaturo Theater February 27th, 2007 The Miami International Piano Festival is presenting a special concert with the renowned Cuban pianist Jorge Luis Prats at the Amaturo Theater, Broward Center for the Performing Arts this February 27th at 8:00 p.m. Acknowledged as one of the best Cuban pianists, Prats is a performer boasting a solid academic formation and avowed artistry, evinced in his performances at major concert halls all over the world. The winner of many prestigious awards including the Margaritte Long-Jacques Thibaud in Paris, and a Gold Medal at the Katia Popova Musical Festival of Awardees in Pleven, Bulgaria, Jorge Luis Prats makes his S. Florida debut at the Broward Center. The program for that night will include the Organ Prelude and Fugue in A minor by J.S Bach/Franz Liszt; 24 Preludes, Op. 11 by Alexander Scriabin; Suite de Danzas Cubanas by Ignacio Cervantes; Altagracia Tango by Carlos Fariñas as well as Gaspard de la Nuit and Le Vals by Maurice Ravel.
