Waterfront Playhouse From Dec 20th, 2006 through Mar 24th, 2007The Key West Players at the Waterfront Playhouse are just starting their 2006 – 2007 season. Following the success of last year’s season, the Waterfront has planned a diversified and entertaining line-up of productions. The season starts with the world premiere of Carl Hiaasen’s Lucky You starting December 20th, 2006. This play is the first stage adaptation of Mr. Hiaasen’s best-selling novel. The second production will the Pulitzer Prize winning Dinner With Friends, by Donald Margulies, which will start on January 24th, 2007. Directed by Rich Simone, the play is a bitingly funny look at contemporary relationships. It concerns two couples who have been best friends for many years. Dinner With Friends has been one of the most lauded pieces of theatrical writing in this new century. Next up is the South Florida premiere of Urinetown, the Musical written by Greg Kotis and Mark Hollmann. The play will be directed this time by Danny Weathers with musical direction by Michael Fauss and choreography by Penny Leto. For more information, please call: 305.294.5015
