From Mar 16th through Mar 18th, 2007The art fair devoted exclusively to art from Latin America, will be returning to Miami for the fifth consecutive year. In 2007, the fair has changed venue to the Miami Beach Convention Center and will be open to the public from March 16th until the 18th. In its fifth year, Merrill Lynch Arteaméricas has become the premier event for Latin American art galleries with an increasing number of applicants and participants each year. Seventy of the best galleries representing 300 renowned masters and emerging artists will be showcasing their work at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Merrill Lynch Arteaméricas is still an affordable art fair, while still maintaining the feel of a boutique fair. The series of conferences introduced during its last edition will repeat this year with more art collectors and experts invited as guest speakers. Also successfully introduced in 2006 was the “New and young collectors day,” a special event happening the night prior to the opening, where the art fair opens its doors for a sneak preview dedicated to get young professionals together and to encourage them to learn more about collecting contemporary Latin American art.
