May 10th, 2006Miami Dade College’s InterAmerican Campus continues its Two Shores Series featuring an art exhibit entitled “Memories of Cuba” and the documentary “The Republic in Crisis” on Wednesday, May 10th at 6:30 p.m. at the Tower Theater, 1508 S.W. 8th Street, Miami, FL. In addition, the audience will be able to participate in a panel discussion about the crisis of the Cuban republic in the 1950’s from the perspective of the major political parties of that time. Representing the political parties are as follows: Dr. Gustavo León (Auténtico); Dr. Arístides Sosa De Quesada (Acción Unitaria); and Dr. Pablo Acosta, Juan Manuel Cao, Enrique Ichikawa and Dr. René Ruiz (Ortodoxo). The guest moderators for the discussion are Dr. Eduardo Zayas Bazán and Dr. Mercedes Sandoval. This event is conducted entirely in Spanish and is free and open to the public.
