July 29th, 2006The Roxy Theatre at FIU in association with Stand Alone Video Productions and Rymaica Entertainment will host the first Annual Miami Independent Film and Music Festival. The festival will feature unsigned acts from both, film and music, whose works has been recognized by regional and national audiences across the Unites States. There will be workshops for anyone who would be interested in the insights of filming, taught by some of the most knowledgeable independent film makers in the business. Short film and music finalists will do their best work to receive a plaque award, which will be given at the end of the event. The festival starts at 9:45 a.m and ends at 2:00 a.m. on the same day. The Roxy Theatre will accommodate two stages for the musicians, two theaters for films and one room with merchandise from local artists. The theater is located at 1645 SW 107th Ave, Miami, FL.
