The goal of this initiative is to take into the spotlight the best films and to consolidate this format among the current generation of filmmakers; besides to provide this artists with the possibility of their work to be shown and projected on a big screen; having as an objective to value the quality of the movies, and giving the audience the chance to see movies that normally wouldn’t find easy to watch. This year’s call had a strong reception from filmmakers of many different countries such as: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Mozambique, New Zealand, Nicaragua y United States, which participated in the movie and video formats, even though not all the countries classified into the final selection. Within the alternate festival schedule, audiences will watch institutional videos made for the Youth for Human Rights organization, which promote human rights on 30 short films that in a commercial way show a very subtle form of each of all the human rights.
