September 15th, 2006Momentum Dance Company starts its 25th Anniversary season with “Meet the Dancers,” a lecture, performance and birthday party at the Manuel Artime Theater in Miami. Meet the Dancers is a great way to get to know the company and to learn about a dancer’s life. The program will demonstrate the warmup and class exercises advanced dancers must do every day; as well as explain the rehearsal process. Dancer will introduce themselves and tell a little about their personal background. The program will also include excerpts from the repertory Momentum will be performing this year including Doris Humphrey’s 1928 classic The Thrill and Cheers, Darling by senior dancer Odman Felix. In addition, veteran soloist Barbie Freeman and newcomer Jesse Sani will show an excerpt from Jose Limon’s 1950 classic The Exiles. For information call 305-858-7002
