NWSA Theater alumni have once again been acclaimed by the New Times for their exceptional contribution to theater in our community.
Hailed as Best New Play was The Brothers Beckett by David Sirois – 2009 college graduate. Other remarkable work by Sirois includes the Naked Stage 24 Hour Play, Sexual Perversity in Chicago, and Farragout North. The title of Best Supporting Actress went to Aubrey Shavonn, also from the graduating college class of 2009, for In Development by David Caudle.
Noteworthy plays featuring New World School of the Arts faculty and alumni that made it to the New Times “Best and Worst Theater of 2010” include Blasted, Equus, and Orphans.
