From Dec 7th through Dec 10th, 2006Artfairs inc., producer of the acclaimed photo fairs in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York, launches the premiere of Photo Miami during Art Basel Miami Beach. This new event, will take place at the Soho Building located in Miami’s Wynwood Art District. Photo Miami presents 50 international galleries exhibiting exciting photo-based art including, conceptual, video, digital and mixed media artwork positioning itself as the art fair offering the most exciting and cutting edge photo-based art being produced today with new work by major artists being premiered. The art fair is intended to redraw the boundaries of technology, photography, and contemporary art highlighting the medium’s complexity within the market. Included in the fair’s program is the special Invitational Preview section of curatorial projects for emerging international collectives and galleries.
