From May 13th through June 4th, 2006The Public Theatre of South Florida is presenting the Southeastern premiere of Fabulation, a hilarious comedy directed by Michael Yawney. The Public Theatre production features a stellar cast starting with Lynn Nottage who is best known for her NY Critics’ Best Play award-winner, Intimate Apparel. Some of this region’s best actors are also present in the play like Carbonell Award winner Jeanne Lynne Gray; Curtain Up Award winner Carolyn Johnson and, in her South Florida debut, Crystal Murphy as Undine. Also featured in the cast are Earlington Taylor, Vivienne Dawson, Andre Gainey and Edgar Caraballo. Fabulation is Lynn Nottage’s Follow-Up to her 1994 NY Drama Critics’ Award for Intimate Apparel. Undine Barnes Callas flees her underprivileged family and creates a new identity as a powerful and ruthless public relations diva. But when her no-good husband steals her blind and she is inadvertently involved in a scandal – she is forced to return to her familial home. . . and re-examine her roots and her priorities.
