Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

March 11th, 2007Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is opening to the public on March 11th, 2007 for a complete day of arty activities for the whole family. The first program will start at 1:00 p.m. and it will be an afternoon of art-making for children focused on Botanical Drawing and Press Flowers. Later that day, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. the museum will present a Family Concert featuring The Young Musician’s Orchestra (YMO). The orchestra returns with a special concert to celebrate spring at Vizcaya. The program will include Vivaldi’s Concerto Op. 7 No. 2: Spring from The Four Seasons; Puccini’s lush Crisantemi; and Ernesto Lecuona’s Siboney, under the direction of YMO music director, Chung Park. The YMO is part of Coral Gables Congregational Church Community Arts Program Conservatory for the Arts, with curricula that provide music training to Miami’s diverse and talented youth.
